councilors are voted in by the local community to represent them on local public issues. The four Wards of the City can be seen on the Ward Boundaries Map. The area is obvious mainly for its Chatswood shopping district and transport hub, but also has significant native bush land and Barbour front with abundant clam and picturesque bush walks. Within the district Willoughby City Council is responsible for things such as the library, roads, garbage removal, recreational facilities, conservation, planning and development, youth services, senior services and much more. It is a general purpose Council broken up into four wards, each of which have specific councilors to represent them. The eastern boundary is the foreshore of Middle Barbour. Community consultation is key to making sure Council gets it correct for residents and other stakeholders. Your input will be invited on various matters throughout the year. Council hopes that residents will respond and share their views on suggested plans so that, through cooperation between Council and the community, Willoughby remains a place where people have a say.
