Gordon’s extensive experience and knowledge of over 35 years of dancing has helped him create the fantastic team of teachers that are now available to teach you how to dance. Sherrie is our principal teacher in Latin and voted Teacher of the Year 2009 and 2010 for her outstanding dedication, she brings a warm and patient accepting to the beginners Latin classes. Yuuka is a professional Latin dancer from Japan who has successfully competed at a national and international smooth throughout the Asia Pacific region and has represented her country at such events as the British Championships in the U.K. Now living here in Sydney, Yuuka’s passion for dance along with her caring nature have made her one of our maximum popular teachers at the studio. Susan has been ballroom dancing for 29 years, and teaching for the past 21 years. For the previous 10 years Susan’s focus has been creating personally tailored wedding choreography for the more than 500 bridal couples she has taught in that time. She particularly enjoys the defy of turning non dancers into dancers in a relatively short space of time. Her dance background includes a brief beginner competitive career in Latin American, as well as time in the dance corps in amateur musical theater productions, and three years of ballet training. Marianne is a professional Latin dancer with over 9 years experience performing, competing and teaching Latin dancing. Over the past 6 years she has successfully competed both nationally and internationally winning numerous titles. In 2014, she placed 3rd in Ladies Shines Team and in the top 5 Salsa teams (non cabaret). Marianne is very passionate about teaching and brings an enthusiastic energy and sense of mirth to all her classes.

This style offers an exciting array of dances and moves that are immense mirth to dance to all kinds of Latin and modern contemporary music. It is energetic, but at a social level is more than relevant for any glossy of fitness! This is a classy and conventional style of partner dancing that has the romance of Waltz, the passion of Tango, the energy of Quickstep and the glossy moves of Foxtrot. These dances are as applicable today as they have been for decades and can be danced socially or taken to competition and performance levels. You would be surprised how much new contemporary music is relevant for this style of dance. It is graceful and suave and very addictive! (This style also includes Viennese Waltz, but this is only taught in private lessons). Our aim is to make you look fantastic within the time and budget you present us. The first 34 lessons are usually getting the steps down, and then the rest is polishing to make you feel hopeful in your dance.
