Leukaemias are cancers that affect the blood and bone marrow. Increasing numbers of irregular lymphocytes, called lymphoma cells collect and form collections of cancer cells called tumors in lymph nodes (glands) and other parts of the body. Myeloma (also obvious as multiple myeloma) is a cancer of plasma cells (a type of white blood cell) that assist fight infection.
